Dear parent,
Welcome to Altymade Baby Sleep Plans. My name is Alty and I’m a certified infant and child sleep consultant. I specialise in creating bespoke sleep plans around babies’ individual needs. Currently, there is so much advice around babies’ sleep and suggested routines, however in most of the cases, they do not bring desired results. That happens because each baby and each age have their own specific needs that should be considered, in order to come up with a sleep solution that will work for them.
Sleep deprivation, in both you and your child, accumulates with time and has a negative effect on various aspects of physical and emotional health, including the immune system, emotional regulation and appetite. So, if you are feeling in doubt about asking for help to get your little one to sleep better, don’t be: you will be benefiting the health and development of your little one, as well as improving your own well-being.
I offer different packages because some sleep situations will need more support than others. Those range from 45-minute phone calls to help resolve smaller sleep issues to bespoke plans with three weeks of full support to teach little ones to sleep independently from scratch. I offer help to parents of babies from 3 weeks until the age of 5 years. At the newborn stage (from 3 weeks until 12 weeks) I help establish healthy sleep habits and lay a foundation for self-settling. With older babies, I will guide you on how to best coach your little one to fall asleep independently or tackle any sleep issues that you are experiencing. I specialise in gentle sleep training, but I’m happy to guide you through sleep training method, or a combination of a few, to match your parenting style and your baby’s temperament. It is important for a sleep consultant and mom to become a team, so please take time to read the section about me and my experience with baby sleep and if you feel like I’m someone you can rely on, please get in touch.
About me and my sleep journey
Apart from being a sleep consultant, I’m a mom of three wonderful boys (7 y/o, 4 y/o and 3 y/o) and have faced my share of sleep problems until I decided to base my career around babies’ sleep. My older son was a premature baby, who would not sleep, and I’ve decided to work with a sleep consultant when he turned 2 months. Although I’ve invested quite a lot, we failed to work through my son’s sleep issues together, because the consultant did not fully understand the situation with my little one and did not consider his or my needs at that moment. That is why now, as a sleep consultant, I promise to listen to you, as a parent and consider your baby’s needs a priority, when we work together.
My second son was born few weeks before the pandemic hit the UK. At that point, I’d had more experience and introduced healthy sleep habits and had himself settle early on. However, when he hit 4 months sleep regression, he began catnapping and my older one started to fight bedtime and wake up at night. I was so lost and did not know what to do. That is when I decided to become a certified sleep consultant because I knew if I were to make my kids the best-happy-self they can be I needed to get their sleep in order. The baby number three came 16 months after the second one and i was grateful that my knowledge as a consultant had me ready to meet our lovely very-colicky boy.
I chose a 6-month Baby Sleep Consultant Training course with the most thorough, science-based approach, which included all the sleep training methods there are and is a provider of the No. 1 gentle sleep training technique. My life had changed. My kids started sleeping beautifully, they became healthier and happier. hey started eating better and I was well-rested and therefore a more patient mom. And I want that for you! I can assure you that I’m a professional you can trust and because I’m a mom, who once was as sleep-deprived as you are, I’m going to become the non-judgemental support that you need. Since certifying i have had numerous clients, most of which were referred to me and I’m here for every mom that needs help.
You and your sleep journey
Every sleep situation is different, so it is important for you to understand what your goals for your baby’s sleep are and what are your expectations from our work. I’m not going to make you choose a sleep training method, that you are not comfortable with, but I will ask for you to be committed to the process and to be honest with me throughout. There is no magic spell, and some sleep situation will require work, which I’m going to do my best to make easier for you. I’m here to guide you, support you, listen to you and understand you, but before that I want you to ask yourself if you are ready to make the change. And if you are or have more questions, please schedule a call with me or drop me an email, so we can get to know each other and start improving your precious baby’s sleep.
